B-25J MITCHELL Twin Engine Warbird RC Aircraft Kit

The B-25J MITCHELL is the first twin-engine radio controlled Warbird from Hangar 9, and what a fantastic model it is ! The awesome scale detail includes engine nacelles, radiator scoops, gun turrets and .50-caliber gun packs right down to functional flaps - all just ready to be installed.

Designed to be powered by two Evolution .36NT engines or a pair of .52 four stoke engines, you also have the option to fly with the twin electric motors straight from the box - no conversion necessary. Just mount your motors, charge the battery packs and fly !

B-25J MITCHELL Twin Engine Warbird RC Aircraft

Most famously known as the bomber used for Lieutenant Colonel James "Jimmy" Doolittle's daylight raid on Tokyo in April 1942, this scale model is based upon the full size B-25J “Mitch the Witch” that is housed at the Palm Springs Air Museum in California.

this scale model is based upon the full size B-25J Mitch the WitchThis almost ready-to-fly warbird is constructed from laser cut balsa and plywood and, even though the model has a large eighty-inch wingspan, thanks to this type of construction the wing loading is relatively light. This gives the B-25J very gentle flight characteristics.

Working flaps allow for easier take off’s and slower more scale like landings. The B-25J Mitchell features a bolt on tail section and a two-piece wing for easy transport and assembly at the flying field. The tricycle undercarriage is fixed, although you do have the option to install retractable landing gear.

Hangar 9 has thought of just about everything to make the electric conversion convenient, including a removable, easy-access belly hatch for battery packs. Because all of the mounting hardware is included, consumers who prefer clean, no-fuss flying can exercise the electric option and quickly mount the motors to this airframe for charge and fly excitement right from the very start.Detailed gun turrets

As usual, Hangar 9’s photo illustrated guide takes you step by step through the assembly process so you can get this fantastic warbird in the air as quickly as possible.
